Happy Birthday, Irv!

I was privileged to spend a few years learning from Irving Boker.
Irv passed away a year ago, and today would have been his 80th birthday.
I regret every moment I was impatient with him... I regret that I didnt pay such close attention as I should have
I lament those days i was too tired or didnt have "enough time" to go see him or call him,
I can never get them back.
He was a very kind and patient man.
He was a terrific artist
a fine human being
I miss him

as a teacher and as a friend.

Phoenix Fine Arts Gallery is sponsoring a show devoted to new and emerging artists- if you have never exhibited your work in a Gallery before, this is the time and place-

The fee is $15.00 per piece, max of 2 pieces- original work only -NO photography sculpture or crafts. Because this show is designed for emerging artists, work that is not accepted will be refunded the entry fee. All work must be for sale
All work must be properly presented- wired for hanging - no "sawtooth" hangers allowed. Unframed canvasses must have gallery edge (no staples visible)

Receiving of work will take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 3rd and 4th from 11 to 4. Artists whose work has not been accepted will be notified by 5 pm on Monday March 5th- work must be picked up by Wed March 7th.

Artist's reception will be Sunday March 11th from 1 - 3 pm

Pick-up of work that is not sold will be Sunday, April 1st from 2-4 pm. Work that is not picked up will be charged a storage fee of $5.00 per day.
