I saw a short video on batik and I was hooked. I found myself having so much fun with it I couldn’t stop. Teaching myself the process, educating myself and then learning by doing....has been an incredible journey. Most people are not familiar with Batik. There are basics in art, and then there are individaul applications of those basics. This is what makes art so diverse, so subjective, and so exciting. The individaul interpretation of basics plus the experimentation into new techniques and materials. As an artist you go, you look, you listen, you absorb, then you go back and apply. It’s a process, a journey, and an adventure.
